Cookie Policy

Cookies are small files that a website stores on your device. This page explains which cookies, and which similar browser storage (local storage, session storage and IndexedDB), Europe eSIM uses and why. In the EU/EEA, the UK, Switzerland and Türkiye, nothing beyond the strictly necessary is stored until you allow it. Everywhere else, analytics and advertising cookies are on from your first visit until you turn them off. Wherever you are, you can change your choice at any time from the Cookie settings link in the footer.

Strictly necessary

These are required for the website to work and are always active. They can't be turned off:

• Session: keeps you signed in to your account while you browse. Set only when you sign in.
• Sign-in with Google or Apple: while you sign in, your browser keeps the sign-in in progress in its session and local storage. It exists only because you chose to sign in.
• Guest order: after you buy without an account, lets this browser reopen your order and its eSIM QR code for 30 days.
• Language: remembers the language you picked, or the one we chose from your browser or country, so the site opens in it without redirecting you again.
• Currency: remembers the display currency you picked, or the one we chose for your country on your first visit.
• Cookie rules for your region: remembers, until you close the browser, whether you are in a country where we ask before using optional cookies.
• Friend invite: if you open a friend's invite link, remembers the invite code in your browser's local storage for up to 30 days, so the invite counts when you sign up.
• How you found us: if you arrive through a campaign link, we remember which campaign it was for 90 days, so we know which of our campaigns bring customers. Only the campaign's name is stored, nothing that identifies you.
• Partner links: if you arrive through a link from one of our partners, such as a comparison site, we remember which partner sent you so they can be paid a commission if you buy. Kept for that partner's attribution period, at most 13 months.
• Consent record: stores the choices you made in the cookie banner, and when you made them, in your browser's local storage so we don't ask again.
• Payment (Stripe): set by our payment processor during checkout for secure payments and fraud prevention.
• Security (Cloudflare): protects the site from bots and attacks, and checks that the sign-in and contact forms are filled in by a person. The check runs in Cloudflare's own frame and stores nothing on this website.

Performance and analytics

In the EU/EEA, the UK, Switzerland and Türkiye, loaded only if you allow them; everywhere else, on until you turn them off. They help us understand how the website is used, for example which pages are most popular, so we can improve it.

• Google Analytics: page views and aggregated usage statistics.
• Firebase Analytics: the same product analytics we use in the Europe eSIM app, so web and app improvements stay consistent.
• Mixpanel: product analytics that shows us how features are used so we can improve them. Stores its identifier in your browser's local storage and processes data in the EU.
• Our own statistics: a random ID in your browser's session storage links the pages you view in one tab for our internal traffic reports. It is deleted when you close the tab.
• Purchase counted once: after a purchase, a marker in your browser's local storage stops the same purchase being reported twice. Removed after 30 days.

Advertising and targeting

In the EU/EEA, the UK, Switzerland and Türkiye, loaded only if you allow them; everywhere else, on until you turn them off. Set by us and our advertising partners to measure whether our ads work and to personalise offers.

• Meta (Facebook) Pixel: measures purchases that come from our Meta ads.
• Google Ads: measures conversions from Google ads.
• Google Ads enhanced conversions: during checkout, your email address is kept in your browser's session storage so Google Ads can match your purchase to an ad in hashed form. It is deleted when you close the tab.
• Singular: attribution for our app-install campaigns.
• Ad clicks: if you arrive from a Google or Meta ad, we remember the ad's click ID for 90 days, so a later purchase or sign-up can be credited to that ad.

Managing your choice

Use Cookie settings (also in the footer of every page) to review or change your preferences at any time. When you withdraw a choice, we delete the cookies and storage we set for it straight away. You can also clear cookies from your browser settings and we'll simply ask again on your next visit. For how we handle personal data more broadly, see our Privacy Policy.

We ask again 12 months after your choice, or sooner if we add a new kind of cookie that needs your consent.
